Electrical Maintenance Technician

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Maintenance Technician role based in 6th of October. The technician will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment and production machinery to ensure continuous, safe, and efficient operation. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting and troubleshooting electrical systems, diagnosing faults, replacing or repairing components, and supporting production teams during breakdowns and start-ups. The role also involves following maintenance schedules, documenting work performed, adhering to safety and quality standards, and coordinating with engineering and operations staff to improve equipment reliability. The technician will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support the installation and commissioning of new equipment as needed. Qualifications Strong electrical maintenance skills, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment. Knowledge of electrical systems, control panels, motors, sensors, and basic PLC interfaces used in food manufacturing environments. Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals, and apply them to practical maintenance tasks. Solid understanding of safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures, safe use of tools, and compliance with relevant electrical and food industry standards. Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly and effectively to equipment breakdowns. Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and production personnel. Technical diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology, or a related field; relevant vocational training is an advantage. Previous experience in industrial or food manufacturing maintenance is preferred; familiarity with H.A.C.C.P and quality systems is beneficial. Willingness to work on-site in 6th of October and to follow rotating shifts or extended hours as required by production needs.
