Fiber Optic Splicer

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fiber Optic Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end installation, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services at customer premises.

The role requires strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality service.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Install, pull, route, and secure fiber optic cables (Single Mode & Multi-Mode).
• Perform fiber splicing, termination, and patch panel installation.
• Conduct fiber testing using OTDR, power meter, and light source.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and rectify fiber faults, signal loss, and connectivity issues.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, fiber layouts, and specifications.
• Ensure proper labeling of fiber cables and maintain accurate as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with project engineers, supervisors, and other technicians.
• Follow project schedules and complete assigned tasks within deadlines.
• Comply with all HSE policies, site safety procedures, and regulations.
• Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and system checks.
• Maintain tools, testing equipment, and work areas in good working condition.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Candidates must currently be available inside the UAE.
• Only UAE Emirates ID holders are eligible to apply.
• Immediate joiners are preferred.
• Diploma/Certification in Fiber Optics or a related technical field.
• 2–5 years of hands-on experience as a Fiber Optic Technician.
• Proven experience in fiber splicing, termination, and testing.
• Confident in using OTDR, power meter, light source, and fusion splicing machines.
• Strong understanding of structured cabling and fiber optic standards.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable working on-site and in challenging environments.
• Good communication skills with basic English proficiency.
• UAE experience is preferred.
