Heavy Equipment Mechanic

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, carrying out services, hydraulic repairs and repairing various types of heavy machinery, including excavators, loaders, bulldozers, cranes, and other construction equipment.

To ensure success as a heavy equipment mechanic, you should have proven experience working with heavy machinery, be physically fit, and be able to troubleshoot issues, can determine what parts and tools are necessary for repairs.

Heavy Equipment Mechanic Responsibilities:

• Perform regular maintenance and repair tasks on heavy equipment and machinery.
• Diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues.
• Conduct inspections and ensure equipment complies with safety standards.
• Replace and repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed.
• Reporting damaged or faulty equipment to management.
• Collaborate with the operations and logistics teams to ensure equipment availability.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical circuits.
• Technical/vocational certification in heavy equipment or diesel mechanics is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
