Qualifications: -
o Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Food Science, or a related field Food & Safety Diploma and other certification
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in quality assurance and quality control, preferably in the flavors and fragrances industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO, IFRA, HACCP, HALAL & KOSHER).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Proven ability to analyze data and drive continuous improvement reporting to CEO
o Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Proficiency in using QA/QC software and laboratory equipment.
Quality Assurance (QA)
- Develop and Implement QA Strategies
- Design and implement comprehensive quality assurance programs and policies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO, GMP).
- Quality Management System (QMS) Oversight
- Develop, implement, and maintain a robust QMS aligned with ISO 22000, and other ISO, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and other relevant standards.
- Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure all quality documentation, SOPs, and records are current and compliant with regulatory standards.
- Training and Development
- Lead training programs for staff on quality assurance and quality control principles and practices.
- Foster a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.
- Internal Audits and Compliance
- Plan and conduct internal audits to assess compliance with quality standards.
- Prepare audit reports and follow up on corrective actions.
Quality Control (QC)
- Supervise QC Testing and Inspections
- Oversee the testing of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Ensure that analytical methods and testing procedures are effective and compliant.
- Maintain QC instruments
- Data Management and Reporting
- Analyze quality control data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present quality performance reports to senior management.
- Non-Conformity and Corrective Actions
- Manage investigations of non-conformities and customer complaints related to product quality.
- Collaborate with production and R&D teams to implement corrective and preventive actions.
Continuous Improvement
- Quality Improvement Initiatives
- Lead initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of quality processes and systems.
- Promote best practices in quality management across departments.
- Regulatory Compliance and Updates
o Ensure compliance with local, national, and international food safety regulations and standards (e.g, NFSA , EFSA, FDA, IFRA).
- Stay updated on industry regulations and changes affecting flavors and, fragrances Oils & herbs
- Ensure that all quality practices meet regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Leadership and Team Management
- Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor the QA and QC teams, promoting professional development and collaboration.
- Set clear performance goals and conduct regular performance evaluations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, production, and supply chain teams to ensure quality is integrated into all processes.
- Facilitate communication regarding quality issues and improvements across departments.
o Serve as the primary point of contact for customers on quality-related matters.
o Address customer complaints and inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
o Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to meet customer specifications and expectations.
