Responsibilities Install, configure, inspect, and maintain electronic or network-related equipment and systems according to approved procedures. Diagnose faults using basic testing tools, identify likely causes, and complete repairs or escalate complex issues. Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance, documenting work completed and any parts or follow-up required. Follow workplace safety practices, protect equipment and work areas, and use tools and materials responsibly. Coordinate with colleagues and supervisors to confirm job requirements, progress, and completion details. Maintain clear service records and report recurring technical problems or equipment concerns. Screening criteria for the Splicing Technician / Senior Jointer position The candidate must be currently available in the UAE or previously have UAE experience. The candidate must hold a valid UAE driving license. The candidate must have hands-on experience in Fiber optic splicing, including both single Fiber and ribbon Fiber. Previous experience with Etisalat and/or du projects is preferred. The candidate must have practical experience in Fiber testing, including OTDR and related testing equipment. The candidate should be capable of leading a team of 3–4 technicians for Fiber cabling, splicing, and jointing activities. The position is based in Sharjah and involves practical technical work at assigned locations.
