OPERATOR

JOB PURPOSE:

• Operate and monitor Sulphur Granulation /handling plant and facilities in the assigned area as per the operating procedures and Company’s HSE standards.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES PLANT OPERATIONS

• Carry out the assigned Operational work safely to assigned standards in line with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). and Operating instructions (SI) , WMS certified and knowledge of connected worker system.

• Carry out routine checks on equipment for abnormalities to report the identified defects; and make the necessary arrangements for servicing.

• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist maintenance teams during equipment breakdowns or planned shutdowns.

• Conduct routine checks on granulators, Stacker reclaimers, Conveyors, Wet scrubbers, Ship loaders, Train Loading & unloading system and Dust suppression system.

• Monitor and adjust the alternations of speeds, temperatures, pressures level and flow rates as necessary to

ensure that normal operation, shutdown and start-up are effectively performed.

• Prepare the plant / equipment for maintenance to ensure accurate and proper handover and synchronization with other equipment and plant.

• Verify the received chemicals in line with the set specifications, maintain and update the stock and consumption register; and prepare chemical batches required for the process ensuring adherence to procedures and HSE rules and standards.

• Operate-related machinery and equipment safely and efficiently as per the Company’s standards and instructions.

• Perform the relevant actions related to the work permits effectively and efficiently.

• Perform periodic rounds in the plant operations to monitor the equipment functionality and ensure their continuous reliability with compliance to the HSE policies and procedures.

• Maintain and update the E-log and follow up on the on-going jobs, which include, but not limited to, monitoring the Contractors’ activities and ensuring adherence to safety regulations and procedures.

• Manage emergency situations effectively and assist in firefighting activities until the arrival of Fire Auxiliary and the off-duty firefighting team.

• Perform the Shutdown activities on the process units safely in case of emergency, including the activation of emergency shutdown system. Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures

• Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, procedures, to accomplish operational objectives.

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in the operating procedures and functional processes. Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures & controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Housekeeping

• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before, during operations, in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping in Plant activities. All parties consent to this document being signed electronically - P&T/INT/2026/18567

Reports

• Provide inputs to prepare daily progress reports for Company Management.

COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal

• Regular work-related contact with the immediate Supervisor and other Department staff as required, and team members on matters related to the Department Policies, Processes, and Procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

Minimum Qualification

• Technical Diploma in Mechanical/Chemical discipline

Minimum Experience & Knowledge & Skills

• 6-8 years of experience in Operations of Sulphur granulation plant Granulation/Handling with Granulators, Stacker Reclaimers /ship loaders / Specialized train loading operation with coordination with Etihad rail

/Conveyors etc.

• Plant Operations in Oil & Gas Industry

• Extensive experience with various plant operation procedures in the Oil and Gas environment. Functional and Operational skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Scheduling, coordinating, checking, examining, and recording

• Intermediate level in English language

• Working with Tools and Technology

• Experience in technical report writing

• Experience in applying the relevant HSE rules and procedures

WORK CONDITIONS:

Physical Effort: Sitting 10 % Standing / Walking 90 %

Work Environment: Outdoors 90 %; A/C Environment 10 %

Moderate physical effort, involving walking and standing, and occasionally climbing within the Plant Operations facilities and use of various tools and equipment. Exposed to prevailing Plant weather conditions & Sulphur Dust environment. Required to use protective safety clothing or gear such as helmets , masks, overalls, coats, gloves, boots, etc as well as Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) during emergencies.
