About the Role BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to join their team in Al Majma'ah. This full-time position involves performing essential maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the operational readiness of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft, supporting pilot training programs. Role Purpose and Responsibilities The primary purpose of this role is to conduct scheduled inspections, perform maintenance, and undertake unscheduled rectification of aircraft equipment and associated components. This includes bay support and activities for PC9 Flight Line and Intermediate Maintenance operations. Key responsibilities involve achieving and maintaining Production Inspections signatory capability for authorized trade certifications, obtaining and maintaining certifications to support specialty and aircraft maintenance functions, and acquiring specialty cross-utilization training qualifications. The role also encompasses providing On the Job Training (OJT) and Production Inspections. Technicians will be responsible for troubleshooting, inspections, removals, installations, repairs, and operation of PC9 Flight Line and Intermediate Maintenance operations, along with associated support and test equipment. Key Accountabilities Provide operationally capable aircraft for KFAA pilot training programs by executing aircraft maintenance tasks, including Flight Line Servicing, scheduled servicing, fault troubleshooting and rectification, modifications, and inspections/evaluations of aircraft systems and components at the Intermediate/Organizational level for training aircraft. Offer technical specialty support in evaluating and interpreting maintenance faults, determining corrective actions, and assessing the performance and operational status of specialty-specific aircraft systems, components, and the use of support equipment. Achieve and maintain Production Inspections signatory capability for authorized specific trade certifications. Obtain and maintain certifications necessary for specialty and aircraft maintenance functions. Develop expertise and familiarity with the RSAF aircraft data management and tracking computer systems, AUTO LOG and MIRO Gold. Understand and comply with the RSAF Safety and Foreign Object Programme. Essential Qualifications and Experience A recognized national civilian or military equivalent aircraft maintenance traineeship or apprenticeship. Relevant type training (‘Q’ Course) and equipment-specific training, if required. Extensive post-qualification practical maintenance experience within an operational flying aircraft environment, supported by formal recorded workplace applied related training, or extensive experience on the same aircraft type, or successful completion of the BAESSA apprenticeship program (SNTTP/TSNTTP). Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of aircraft maintenance and engineering. Understanding and application of human factors, error management, health & safety, and proactive hazard analysis relevant to the role. Relevant equipment-specific training. Computer literacy with an understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite. A quality-minded, mature individual with a positive and proactive approach to aircraft maintenance and support issues. Sound oral and written two-way communication skills, with the ability to be tactful, discreet, and confident in dealing with people at all levels. Ability to work harmoniously in a mixed workforce environment. Ability to work independently to resolve complex technical issues. Desirable Qualifications and Knowledge Broad aerospace and defence company/industry knowledge. An understanding of BAESSA engineering operating procedures. A sound understanding of RSAF 4-1-7166 series and supporting technical publications applicable to the work area. Working knowledge of Q-pulse, DMS, and an understanding of M&CA processes. Completion of PC9 Aircraft Systems specific training courses appropriate to specialties. Knowledge of relevant parts of the MOE and procedures. Ability to confirm full accomplishment of maintenance tasks. Familiarity with the use and control of required tooling and equipment. Work Environment and Compensation This is a full-time position located in Al Majma'ah. BAE Systems Saudi Arabia offers a competitive salary for this role.
