Job Summary:
The Architectural Technical Office Manager oversees, coordinates, and ensures the technical integrity of all architectural works, drawings, and project documentation. The role requires deep knowledge in design development, shop drawings, material approvals, and coordination with site, consultants, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the architectural technical office team, ensuring timely preparation of shop drawings, as-built drawings, and technical submissions.
- Review, verify, and approve all architectural drawings and design details prior to submission.
- Coordinate closely with structural, mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines to ensure full integration of architectural requirements.
- Oversee material submittals, samples, compliance sheets, and ensure adherence to project specifications and international standards.
- Provide technical solutions and value-engineering proposals to improve constructability, cost efficiency, and quality.
- Liaise with consultants, project management teams, and client representatives for design clarifications and technical approvals.
- Monitor project progress from a technical perspective and resolve drawing discrepancies or site issues.
- Maintain and control all architectural documentation, logs, and technical correspondence.
- Ensure compliance with project timelines, contract requirements, and quality standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture; Master’s preferred.
- 10–15 years of experience in architectural technical office management in construction.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, finishing standards, and coordination practices.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and project coordination tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
