Job Description
The Head of Marketing leads the development and execution of strategic marketing plans to achieve the company’s commercial objectives. With extensive experience (30+ years) in the pharmaceutical sector—preferably within multinational environments—the role ensures strong brand positioning, market growth, and cross-functional alignment to optimize product performance and support business sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning & Brand Management
- Develop and execute long-term and annual marketing strategies for all assigned products.
- Conduct comprehensive market analysis to guide strategic decision-making.
- Oversee brand positioning, lifecycle management, and product forecasting.
- Lead product launch plans with cross-functional participation.
2. Business Growth & Market Development
- Identify new market opportunities and strategic partnerships.
- Drive initiatives that increase market share and strengthen brand equity.
- Develop marketing programs targeting HCPs and key accounts.
3. Cross-Functional Leadership
- Collaborate with Sales, Medical, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, and Market Access teams.
- Provide marketing leadership and field force support.
- Coordinate with medical teams on scientifically robust promotional materials.
4. Budget & Performance Management
- Develop and manage annual marketing budgets.
- Monitor campaign performance and adjust strategies based on KPIs.
- Manage external agencies to ensure quality execution.
5. Compliance & Quality Assurance
- Ensure all promotional materials comply with local regulations and company policies.
- Maintain documentation and governance standards.
6. Leadership & Team Development
- Mentor and develop marketing team members.
- Drive a culture of innovation and accountability.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy is a must
- MBA in Marketing or Business Administration
- Minimum 25-30 years of pharmaceutical marketing experience.
- Strong history with multinational pharmaceutical companies.
- Proven success in product launches and strategic brand management.
- Deep understanding of the pharmaceutical market and regulatory environment.
