Job Description
The Junior Sous Chef will support the Sous Chef in managing the kitchen's daily operations. You will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring food quality and consistency, and maintaining high hygiene and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Sous Chef in managing the kitchen team and daily food preparation.
- Ensure food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste.
- Supervise kitchen operations during service, especially in the absence of the Sous Chef.
- Monitor portion control, minimize waste, and help maintain food cost targets.
- Contribute to the creation of new menu items and daily specials.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations (HACCP standards).
- Train and guide junior kitchen staff and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with other departments (F&B, Banquets, Events) for coordinated service.
