Refrigeration Trailer Technician

Job summary We are seeking a skilled and reliable refrigeration trailer technician to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain refrigeration units installed on refrigerated trailers (reefers). Key responsibilities Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on refrigerated trailers and refrigeration units. Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration system faults. Inspect compressors, condensers, evaporators, fans, sensors, and control systems. Repair refrigerant leaks and recharge systems. Conduct routine service activities including oil and filter changes. Use diagnostic tools and software to identify equipment issues. Maintain repair and inspection records. Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulations. Qualifications & requirements Diploma or technical certification in refrigeration, HVAC, mechanical, or electrical technology. 2–5 years of related experience. Experience with Thermo King or Carrier Transicold units preferred. Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot control systems. Required skills Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
