Job Description
We are looking for a highly skilled and organised Junior Sous Chef to lead our kitchen operations.
This is a unique role requiring a "hybrid" chef who is equally comfortable in the Bakery/Pastry section and the Italian/Breakfast hot kitchen.
You will support the Head Chef in maintaining high standards, managing costs, and training junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Bakery & Pastry Leadership: Oversee the production of all breads, breakfast pastries, and sweets.
- Specialised Hot Kitchen: Master the Italian station (Authentic Pizza & Pasta) and oversee the American Breakfast service.
- Operational Oversight: Manage food labelling, HACCP compliance, and inventory control.
- Quality Control: Ensure every plate meets the brand's standards for taste, temperature, and presentation.
Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a CDP or Junior Sous Chef in a reputable UAE restaurant or hotel.
- Mastery of Dough: Deep understanding of fermentation for both artisanal bread and Italian pizza.
- Pastry Proficiency: Strong background in making desserts and sweets from scratch.
- Leadership Skills: Ability to lead a team during high-pressure service periods.
- Strong communication skills and a professional attitude.
